木目金是一項歷史悠久的傳統技術，通過融合不同顏色的金屬，經工匠雕刻和鍛造，創造出美麗的木紋圖案。這項技術源於約400年前的日本，由出羽秋田的劍具工匠阿彌伝兵衛所創。由於其圖案類似木紋，木目金也被稱為鉄刀木。
隨著時代的變遷，這種具有文化和藝術價值的工藝逐漸失傳。我們希望透過特殊的工業生產工藝將其保留下來，因此我們利用獨家的加工與量產技術，不僅重新創造木目金的美學，還將收集的金屬加工碎料轉化為再生複合皮料，稱之為金屬皮。這樣，我們不僅保留了傳統工藝，還促進了可持續發展。
Research Background
Mokume-gane is a traditionaltechnique with a long history that combines different colored metals throughskilled carving and forging to create beautiful wood grain patterns. Thistechnique originated approximately 400 years ago in Japan, created by a swordcraftsman named Amida Denbei from the Akita region. Due to itswood-like patterns, mokume-gane is also known as Tekkōboku.
As time has progressed, this craft,rich in cultural and artistic value, has gradually faded away. We aim topreserve this traditional technique through special industrial productionprocesses. By utilizing our exclusive processing and mass production techniques,we not only recreate the aesthetics of mokume-gane but also transform collectedmetal machining scraps into a recycled composite material we call MetalLeather. In doing so, we preserve traditional craftsmanship while promotingsustainability.
